ADAS calibration for McAllen, Mission, and Edinburg
ADAS calibration sets the cameras, radar, and sensors behind your car’s safety features back to where the factory aimed them. We calibrate all years, makes, and models at our shop, Teslas and exotic vehicles included, for drivers in Mission, Edinburg, McAllen, and the rest of the Valley.
What ADAS is
ADAS stands for advanced driver assistance systems. These are the cameras, radar units, and sensors behind features like automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
Each one is aimed at an exact angle. A camera behind the windshield has to know where the lane lines really are. A radar unit in the front bumper or behind the grille has to point straight down the road. If either one is off by a little, the car can brake when it shouldn't, or fail to brake when it should.
What knocks sensors out of line
You don’t need a big wreck. Any of these can do it:
- A collision, even a light one
- Bumper replacement or bumper repair
- Mirror replacement
- Suspension work that changes how the car sits
- A new windshield
How you can tell, and when you can’t
Sometimes the car tells you. A warning light comes on, or the dash says a feature is not available. Other times there is no warning at all, and the system just works worse than it should. Lane-keeping tugs the wheel at the wrong moment, or the car brakes for something that is not there.
That is why we scan instead of guessing, and why calibration is part of so many collision repairs. When we fix a car that has these systems, the sensors the repair touched get calibrated before it goes back on the road.
What it costs if you pay yourself
Every customer-pay job starts with a $150 pre-scan. The pre-scan tells us which systems need calibration, so you don't pay for work the car doesn't need. Every job ends with a $150 post-scan to confirm the systems work.
Most customer-pay calibrations run roughly $300 to $600. Where yours lands depends on the car and how many systems the pre-scan flags.
On an insurance claim
When calibration is part of a covered repair, we bill it to your insurer as a supplement. If your insurance covers a windshield replacement, it also covers the calibration and any resets needed to finish that job.
Calibration does not always make it onto the first estimate. When the repair requires it, we file for it, so the cost does not land on you.
Where calibration happens
Calibration happens at our shop, done by a mobile technician we work with. We don't calibrate in a driveway or a parking lot. Bring the car to our Mission or Edinburg shop. Both are a short drive from McAllen.
Windshield replacement and calibration are separate steps. If you got a new windshield somewhere else and the lane-keeping camera has acted up since, you can still bring the car to us for calibration.
How a calibration goes

The technician calibrates the cameras, radar, or sensors the scan flagged, at our shop.
- 03
Post-scan
A $150 post-scan confirms the systems work before the car leaves.
- 04
Back on the road
You drive out with safety features that see the road the way they were built to.
Frequently asked questions

Yes. We calibrate all years, makes, and models, Teslas and exotic vehicles included.
Can you calibrate at my house?
