Have this handy when you call
You do not need all of it. Whatever you have makes the first call quicker.
- Your claim number, if you already opened a claim with your insurer or the other driver's.
- The year, make, and model of the car. The VIN helps too if it is easy to find.
- Photos of the damage on your phone, if you took any. They help you describe what happened.
- Where the car is right now, if it cannot be driven.
What happens at the estimate
Bring the car to either shop on a weekday. You do not need to book a time. We look the damage over and write up what the repair takes and what it costs. You leave with that in writing, and it costs you nothing.
If there is an insurance claim, we send the estimate straight to the adjuster so you are not carrying paperwork back and forth. In Texas you choose who fixes your car, even when the insurer is paying. Our page on insurance claim help explains how the claim side works with us.
An Edinburg customer wrote in 2024 that other shops would not look at the car without an appointment. At ours, Cruz met them outside and started on the bumper right away.
If the car will not drive
Call either number above. Our tow line answers 24 hours a day, nights and weekends included. When we end up doing the repair, the tow is free, whether insurance pays or you pay. More on that on our towing page.
Before your estimate
Do I need my insurance company to approve the estimate first?
No. You can come to us for an estimate any time, before or after you open a claim. If there is a claim, we send our written estimate to the adjuster. Texas law lets you pick the repair shop, so the insurer does not get to decide where your car goes.
Can I get an estimate if I am paying for the repair myself?
Yes. The estimate is free whether insurance is paying or you are. You get the same written repair plan and price either way.
Can I go to either shop for the estimate?
Yes. Mission and Edinburg both write free estimates, and both are open Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5:30 PM. Go to whichever one is closer.
Am I committed to the repair once I get the estimate?
No. The estimate costs nothing. You take it home, read it over, and decide when you are ready. Call us when you want to book the repair.
